Many people ask me, why do I need an attorney, legal work is not rocket science, and I could sure use the money I would save on fees?

One of those terms that at first seems to make no sense, like 'good car accident' or 'good layoff'. Almost no one gets married planning to be divorced later. But, almost half of marriages in this country end in divorce, and many children are born to unmarried parents who never live together, or end up separating.

I am sometimes asked in my bankruptcy practice if creditors ever go away. At times they do not call or send letters for months, and it seems like they will just disappear. Unfortunately, if you owe more than a few hundred dollars, they will keep coming until they get their money, like the Arnold Schwartzenegger character in the Terminator movies. Like the Terminator, they work 24/7 trying to find you and get your paycheck, bank accounts, and any other money or property that you have.
